Survivor Receiving Centers and Staging Areas: A Guide to Reducing Hospital
Surge in Large Scale Incidents "Survivor Receiving Centers and Staging Areas: A Guide to Reducing Hospital Surge in Large Scale Incidents" by Opa T. Clegg and Robert W. Austin is the first release of the 1st edition of the guidebook.

The guidebook explains why SRCSAs are needed, based on studies by the Centers for Disease Control, US Department of Homeland Security, the US Congress and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Health Care Organizations. It is also based on the lessons learned from recent large scale incidents including the Madrid Train Bombings and the London Subway Bombings.

In the guidebook you will find information on how to set up a SRCSA site, guidelines on when SRCSA sites should be activated, how to inspect a site for possible inclusion as a SRCSA site, as well as the various job action sheets for the personnel working a SRCSA site. We have also included standalone versions of the various forms used during a SRCSA activation, as well as the inspection form.

Like our other projects, all of these items are available in both OpenDocument (odt) format as well as Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format.
