the causes of sickness and health."

Emergency Medical Services Training Project

Introduction

The goal of this project is simple, yet expansive; to create a library of EMS instructional material. The project will consist of lesson plans, classroom presentations and resource materials. We will also be looking into creating on-line training courses using the SCORM format.

The access of the project to a world-wide audience creates exciting opportunities, yet also places monumental obstacles along the path. Simply having the materials translated into various languages will be an enormous task unto its own. If you would like to help with this project, please contact us.

Three New Cardiac Projects

Use Alone or with a LCMS

Jim Keiken has joined The Open ISES Project and started in a huge way by posting three new cardiac learning modules. 3-Lead Electrocardiogram Rhythm Recognition

Updated LCMS Version

The latest update in this series is for the ECG recognition exercises that can be used on a Learning Content Managment System like Moodle. This update inlcudes 20 patterns for the student to recognize without the use of an actual ECG strip. These have not yet been added to the workbook, but look for an update in the future that brings these two programs into sync.

EMS Course Presentations

To Be Made Available in OpenDocument & Adobe Acrobat Formats

To add as a complement to the lesson plans, we intend to create presentations that you can utilize in your classes. We would recommend that the lesson plans be created first, and the presentations created afterward. This would allow the presentations to match the lesson plans. Like the lesson plans, the presentations will be released in an OpenDocument format so that you can go in and modify them to meet your specific needs. They will also be made available in Adobe Acrobat format.

EMS Lesson Plans
"Introduction to Pharmacology"

Now Available in OpenDocument & Adobe Acrobat Formats

In this section our intent is to create lesson plans that you can use and modify for use in the classroom. At this time we are not listing the individual lessons, but instead want to keep the subject area as open as possible. We do not want anyone to feel that their particular lesson or skill is not wanted simply because it is not listed. As these lessons are created, they will be added on our Lesson Plan page.
